Increasing demand in high quality seismic services worldwide, and Caspian region in particular
Increasing exploration activity worldwide, particularly in the Mediterranean, Arctic and Indian Ocean Increasing attention from IOCs and NOCs to Caspian region as a world class oil province Current market value of potential projects in 2014-2015 estimated at ca. $450 mn in Caspian alone The company is reviewing plans to participate in contemplated projects in Mozambique, South Africa, Egypt, Tunisia and India
Current focus of oil and gas companies on offshore projects
Offshore projects are getting increased attention as a next destination for large and untapped oil and gas discoveries Rising share of challenging projects in the market, including arctic, shallow/deep water, frontier basins exploration Increase in demand for high quality 4C acquisition data
Strong management team with best industry practices
Strong management team which is well connected locally Robust management practices implemented with PGS support Successful track record of operations Over 150 highly skilled specialists, many of which have extensive experience in shallow water operations Low cost of operations
Equipment, technologies and HSE level in the Company satisfy demanding needs of IOCs and NOCs
Modern fleet of 9 dedicated research vessels and additional support vessel fleet All vessels can be conveniently repositioned to execute projects in various geographies worldwide New Purpose-built shallow draft vessels Unique offering of 2D shallow water towed streamer acquisition (to 3.5 meters) Implemented international HSE standards GGS-Khazar is the only company in the region that has international equipment for full-scale data acquisition The Company is acquiring additional equipment that will further expand its capacity and broaden operational capability
To conduct seismic exploration, the company uses modern geophysical equipment and software from renowned global manufacturers such as SERCEL, Emerson E&P, ION, SEAMAP, InProspect, Radex, and many others. The company has its own fleet of nine specialized vessels and six support vessels. It has a sufficient number of vibration sources (15 units) and other specialized equipment for operations in various conditions.
To conduct seismic exploration in transition zones, the Company has the necessary specialized equipment, including drilling rigs, all-terrain vehicles, etc. We strictly adhere to HSE regulations when conducting seismic exploration. In environmentally sensitive areas, we employ specialized technologies to reduce environmental impact. We have extensive experience working in the following areas: - Coastal marine areas, bays, sandbanks, and lagoons - Marshes, sors, meadows, and other similar areas - Flood-prone areas - Shallow lakes and river deltas
Our company can offer and perform a full range of seismic exploration services, including, but not limited to: Development and approval of technical documentation and environmental protection projects; Fieldwork with high-quality data and compliance with all safety and environmental protection requirements; Subsequent processing and interpretation of 2D and 3D data; We have all the necessary licenses and permits, qualified personnel, equipment, and software to perform the full range of surveys: SERCEL-428 data acquisition systems; VE-432/VE-464 vibration generator synchronization systems; Nomad-65 vibration generators;
FIELD PRCESSING & QC
The quality control of seismic observations at the stage of field processing is carried out by the operational processing of field materials during the entire period of data collection. For these purposes, the Company uses modern processing packages of the Echos Personal and FOCUS systems with a platform based on PC Linux with outputting results to a plotter such as HP Design Jet 500.
Based on measuring the natural EM field variations
Frequency range: few kHz to 0.00001 Hz Depth range: few meters to hundreds of kilometers
MT is a specific case of the frequency sounding based on skin-effect phenomenon (field penetration depth increases with a decrease of frequency): High-frequency data yields information on shallow structure Low-frequency data yields information on deep structure
Canadian-made Phoenix Geophysics MTU instruments are utilized for MT data acquisition in the field
5 components of the EM (MT) field are measured at each station (EX, EY, HX, HY, HZ).
Record length varies from 12 to 24 hours (frequency range of 300 – 0.001 Hz)
Remote reference technique is used to improve data quality
